An organic, cold pressed 100% pure Grapeseed Oil is best for massage therapy and as a skin moisturizer. There are a number of different brands of grapeseed oils, however the more natural the oil, the more health benefits for you and your clients.
This oil is often used as a carrier oil in massage oil recipe blends, with essential oils added to make customized blends according to the physical and mental wellbeing requirements of the client need receiving the massage.
Although Grapeseed oil is still used mainly as a massage oil, the benefits of grapeseed oil are now being recognized for their wonderful anti-aging ingredients.
Grapeseed Massage Oil is one of the best oils you can buy for bodywork therapies. It is a thin, yet very “easy-to-work-with” oil that penetrates deeply into the skin to offer long-lasting moisture.
The seeds inside the grapes contain antioxidant ingredients, many of which are also found in green tea, black tea, red wine and berries.
Grape seed oil is processed by cold-pressing the grape seeds, after the grape itself has been used to make wine. It is often found in many facial/skincare care products and is known for its anti-aging benefits to the skin.
It can be found in soaps, shampoos, conditioners, cosmetics, facial moisturizers, body lotions, and bath oils.
Grapeseed oil also contains polyphenols, which are also antioxidants. Polyphenols have been proven to help slow the process of aging, and, because it is a natural anti-inflammatory, can help clear acne.
Few massage oils actually help “prevent” clogged pores and skin break-outs, but grape seed oil contains a high amount of linoleic acid, an essential fatty acid, which is really good for oily skin.
Grapeseed is one of the best massage oils because it has an exceptionally smooth glide and easy absorption into the client’s skin, as well as being a great oil for hot stone massage, facial massage, and deep tissue with shaped stones. Grapeseed actually has the ability to lock in moisture, which leaves your client’s skin feeling very smooth, without the greasy feeling.
It contains high amounts of Vitamin E and Vitamin C, which are often very needed by our bodies.
Helping you fight disease.
Helps prevent fine lines and wrinkles, caused by the loss of collagen and elastin.
This great vegetable oil is one of the most used carrier oils in aromatherapy massage, and this is understandable since it has a fine texture, is easily absorbed, and helps to leave the skin soft and satiny smooth yet it is non-greasy and easily absorbed. This is not to be used on clients who have nut allergies.
Sweet almond oil is obtained from the dried kernels of the almond tree and it is an excellent emollient (softening and soothing to the skin) and also helps the skin to balance its loss and absorption of moisture.
It is further a great moisturizer suitable for all skin types, helps relieve irritation, inflammation and itching, and is greatly lubricating and because it is not an overly fast penetrating oil, it is a good massage medium to use to help spread the oil and essential oil mixture, while still allowing you time to do a good massage before it is absorbed by the skin.
Not only does almond oil help protect the surface of the skin, but has great value to act as an emollient, skin soother and softener while conditioning the skin and promoting a clear young looking complexion, also helps to relieve muscular aches and pains.
It has a rich concentration of oleic and linoleic essential fatty acids, and although mostly used on its own as a massage carrier oil, it also works well by diluting with 10% wheatgerm oil to help give it a longer shelf life.
Sweet almond oil is one of the most popular carrier oils, since it is non-greasy, spreads easily and also is great for nourishing the skin.
